Josphine Ruwimbo Kanengoni
Josephine Kanengoni has over nine years of experience in media and publishing. Currently, Josephine is the managing director of Dome Media, a media and publishing company that she founded in 2013. In her role as managing director, Josephine leads her passionate young team in creating platforms across print, digital, social, and broadcast media, as well as in offline spaces, to celebrate the diversity of Zimbabwean women, tell their stories in their own voices, and shape purposeful, change-activating dialogue on the social, personal, economic, and cultural issues affecting women. She concurrently heads Divas Inc Magazine, Dome Media’s flagship publication and currently Zimbabwe’s leading women’s lifestyle magazine, as its managing editor. Josephine is passionate about purposefully engaging and empowering women. At the core of her entrepreneurial journey is the drive to be at the forefront of actively shaping conversations around issues impacting and affecting Zimbabwean woman. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Josephine plans to expand Dome Media’s platforms to the rest of the continent. By plugging into an Africa-wide network, she will expand Dome Media, creating a positive impact and building a powerful network of empowered women across Africa.
