Jessica joined IREX in April 2015 and serves as a Program Officer for the US–Iraq Higher Education Partnerships Program and the Visiting American Professionals for Iraq Program. She manages a portfolio of small grants to strengthen higher education in Iraq, and supports seminars connecting US experts to Iraqi audiences and institutions to create opportunities for sustained relationships and engagement.
Previously at IREX, she worked on the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program supporting the workforce capacity of Tunisian scholars, and on the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Eurasia and Central Asia.
Prior to working at IREX, Jessica served as Operations Manager for the Maryland-based India Development and Relief Fund. She also worked with Plan International to provide disaster response to early childhood populations in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. From 2009-2012, Jessica served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, where she taught life skills and English to children and youth.
Jessica has an MA in sustainable international development from Brandeis University, and a BA in international development and social change and psychology from Clark University.
