Jeff Marshall is a program associate on the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan (Global UGRAD-Pakistan). In this role, he supports daily program operations, manages relationships with both partner institutions and program participants, and contributes to internal and external program communications.
Prior to joining IREX, Jeff completed his graduate studies in public diplomacy at Syracuse University, where he was the recipient of a Foreign Languages and Area Studies Fellowship and a Boren Fellowship. Throughout his fellowships, Jeff focused his studies on the South Asian subcontinent and developed a working proficiency in the Urdu language. Prior to his graduate work, Jeff worked in international higher education in the country of Georgia for over three years, where he developed university exchange networks spanning the former Soviet space and Europe. Using these networks as a foundation, he authored successful proposals to support professional and academic exchanges between the networks’ respective members.
Jeff received his bachelor of arts in philosophy from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, a master of arts in international relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and a master of science in public relations from the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
