Iryna manages the Citizen Engagement and Reform Communication Program (CERC) to increase citizen awareness, trust, and understanding of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reforms.
Iryna codesigns and delivers citizen engagement activities in partnership with the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, police units, civil society organizations, and community hubs such as local libraries to build understanding, trust, and fruitful relationships between citizens and police. She leads CERC's support to the Ministry's reforms to improve prevention and response to domestic violence and trafficking in persons, and to combat domestic violence by supporting the nascent police mobile groups. Iryna also serves as an IREX Gender Focal Point.
Prior to joining IREX, Iryna worked for Pact on community development, resources mobilization, civil society engagement, and the US Peace Corps in Ukraine on a local capacity development project. She has a degree in philology from Kharkiv National University in Ukraine.
