Fatma Gdoura is a program associate for the Middle East Partnership Initiative’s Alumni Connection Program. In this role, she is involved in all aspects of the advancement of the MEPI Alumni program, including administrative and logistical support, project monitoring and evaluation, and alumni outreach.

Prior to joining IREX, Fatma worked several internships and volunteered at various agencies in the Northern Virginia and DC area, including serving as a data analysis intern at the Social Security Advisory Board.

Fatma graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University with a BA in economics and a minor in data analysis. During her time at George Mason University, she served as a Joseph Schumpeter fellow at the Mercatus Center where she surveyed key political economy topics. In addition to English, Fatma speaks Arabic and French, and is currently studying Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute.
