Farida Hamza Makame
Farida Makame has over three years of experience working in community development, focusing on youth development and climate change mitigation using renewable energy. Currently, she works as a senior program coordinator at Restless Development in Tanzania where she focuses on youth-led research, advocacy, and accountability. Farida is also a skilled youth engagement facilitator and founder of a start-up agribusiness venture. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University. Farida aims to be part of a Pan-African movement, creating platforms that promote mindset change and encourage innovative solutions to the challenges we face. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Farida plans to work with other fellows to create a Pan-African hub to support youth empowerment through innovation.
