Eric Ziegelman is a program associate with the Community Solutions Program in the Leadership Practice. His work focuses on building the capacity of grassroots leaders to catalyze positive change in their home communities. In his role, Eric assists with leadership curriculum development and instruction, event planning, and participant support.
Before joining IREX in 2018, Eric completed an internship in the Education Practice of UNESCO, Dakar. There, he coordinated several workshops on preventing violence through education and improving youth media literacy in under-resourced communities. Prior to this, Eric worked as a Program Assistant at Intercultural Journeys, an arts education non-profit based in Philadelphia, a high school French and Spanish teacher in Burlington, Vermont, an experiential educator in France, Central America, and the Caribbean, and as an ESL teacher in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Eric holds an M.S.Ed in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in International Relations and French from the University of Vermont.
