Emily is a program officer for the Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (TGC) and provides support to the International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) and the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA).
Emily has more than seven years of combined experience in education and nonprofit sectors in the United States. Prior to joining IREX, Emily worked at a Washington, DC-based law firm and supported families of children with special needs. Her earlier professional experience also includes teaching History to high school students, and serving the at-risk youth population in Raleigh, North Carolina with Wrenn House of Haven House Services, Inc.
Emily received an MA in International Education focused on education for marginalized populations from the George Washington University, and a BS in History and Secondary Education from Appalachian State University.
