Dina is the program coordinator for the MEPI (US–Middle East Partnership Initiative) Alumni Connection.
She is working on creating a network for the MEPI alumni across the MENA region. She provides strategic and administrative support in the day-to-day administration of program activities on issues ranging from program design to financial accountability.
Prior to joining IREX, Dina was involved with refugee resettlement through World Relief. Through her interpretation skills, she assisted refugees with their transition to life in the United States, including home visits, assistance with bills, governmental aid, school responsibilities, and job interviews.
Dina is fluent in Arabic and spent time studying in Istanbul, Turkey, during her undergraduate studies. Dina holds a master's in international studies from North Carolina State University with a focus on US–Middle East relations. She also has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with majors in global studies and psychology and a minor in Arabic.
