Aymen Abderrahmen is a program coordinator for the Middle East Partnership Initiative’s Alumni Connection Program, with a primary focus on engaging and cooperating with the alumni of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program.
In his role, he contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of this program aimed at enabling community leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa, to strengthen their networks, collaborate on leadership initiatives, and develop their skills in order to contribute to their communities.
Prior to joining IREX, Aymen was a resident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East policy writing about issues of transitional justice, and worked at the BBC Media Action where he supported various journalism and public broadcast development projects in Tunisia and Libya. From 2012-2014, Aymen also worked in Tunisia as a project officer for Search for Common Ground, specifically focusing on dialogue, leadership, and governance capacity building projects.
Aymen studied English literature and international relations at the University of Tunis. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English, and he is also a 2011 alumnus of the MEPI Student Leaders program at Georgetown University.
