Anna Nabulya has ten years of experience working on community-based development initiatives and projects aimed at addressing the socio-economic vulnerabilities of homeless and at-risk youth populations in Uganda. As the Deputy Director and Programs Coordinator with Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), Nabulya is responsible for designing both behavioral and socio-economic interventions and projects addressing commercial sexual exploitation of children, child trafficking, substance abuse prevention, HIV prevention care and support, livelihood support and empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health rights. Anna is also a Vital Voices Global Woman Leader under the Hilton Worldwide Global Freedom Exchange program on fighting Child Sex Trafficking, 2014. While in the U.S., Nabulya worked at FAIR Girls in Washington, DC, where she learned new techniques for economically empowering trafficked and vulnerable women. Having completed her Community Solutions Program Fellowship, Nabulya is working to empower marginalized women and girls in the peri-urban slum of Bwaise, Kampala to become young women entrepreneurs.
