Teaching With Technology: A Case Study of Online Faculty Development at the University of Central Florida

Elvira Kaminskaya focused on the areas of faculty development and human resource management. During her US fellowship, she investigated issues of performance management and training and development and studied e-learning management, appraisal strategies, and methods to measure both individual and team performance. Upon return to her home university, she hoped to create guidelines for the development of an online faculty resource center and to develop an effective performance management system for the Bilingual Education Department that is closely linked to organizational goals within the university’s overall strategic plan.
