Quality Assurance of Higher Education in US — A Case Study in North Carolina State University
Wang Jiayi investigated the area of quality assurance. During his US fellowship, he studied the systemic approaches and instruments utilized by US universities to measure academic programs and teaching and learning quality. He studied how the quality assurance office operates and its relationship to professors and academic staff. Upon return to his home university, Mr. Wang planned to introduce his gained knowledge to improve work of evaluating and monitoring the quality of academic programs and teaching and learning. Wang hopes to integrate new quality assurance methods into the university’s new plan for reforms to curriculum and teaching management.
