Integration of Teaching and Research at the University of Central Florida
Vladimir Konovalov identified the importance of integrating teaching and research within his university in order to develop students into effective employees, nurturing the concepts of self-discipline, teamwork, creativity, and ambition within the academic setting. He also would like to see increased interchange of students between universities, including foreign ones. While in the United States, he observed how departments integrate teaching and research and how international programs are financed and organized.
