Tetyana Lunyova’s interests are in the area of integration of teaching and research as a means of ensuring high quality of teaching and facilitating learning. She examined what approaches and strategies are used in US universities to encourage, support and improve research done by both faculty and students as well as how research processes and results are used in teaching. Upon her return to her home university, she plans to write a series of articles describing her experience for colleagues and students and to create a brochure on citation and plagiarism. She would also like to organize a number of informational training seminars for colleagues and students. In collaboration with the chairs of other departments and the senior managers of the university she would also like to develop a strategic plan for the integration of teaching and research with an emphasis on achieving world standards.
