Factsheet: GCE improves and modernizes education in Kyrgyzstan. Students and educators use technology to participate in national dialogue, gain valuable and relevant skills, and take a leading role in their communities. GCE does so by:
• Giving Youth a Voice
• Creating an ICT Education Ecosystem
• Connecting Schools to the World
Stats: From December 2009 to December 2010, the GCE program in Kyrgyzstan achieved following results:
• 22 schools & libraries connected to internet
• 1,075 youth trained in ICT
• 595 teachers and administrators trained in ICT
• 26 Tech Age Girl leaders
• 2,500 registered members of an online educational network
• 789 students involved in online collaborative projects
