A Case Study of Student Services and International Relations
Narynkul Chorobaeva’s interests are in the areas of international relations and student services. She studied how student support services are managed at US universities. She learned how student services play a role in student advocacy, student participation in community activities, the organization of extra curricular activities like debates, discussions, and clubs, and how student services affect post-graduate alumni activities and employment opportunities. She also studied US university policies on international students. Upon return to her home university, she hopes to establishing a student services center at her university, open an International Student Association, and increase the enrollment of foreign students who are interested in learning Kyrgyz language and culture.
