2010-2011 LEAD Fellow Profiles
In 2010, two legal professionals from Tajikistan studied law at US universities in an effort to strengthen the rule of law in their home country. Through the Legal Education and Development (LEAD) Fellowship Program for Tajikistan, these fellows earned their LLM to gain a greater understanding of comparative legal systems. Below are profiles of these exceptional scholars’ past experiences and plans for the future.

What will you do when you return to Tajikistan? I will take back a new perspective on approaching law and legal problems. I also understand a little bit more about the point of view of American professionals on different aspects of law. I hope that I will be able to find a job using my knowledge, experience, and expertise. In addition, I am planning on doing my pre doctorate degree back at home. I also might try getting involved in a non-governmental organization engaged in the legal field.
