“BETTER FOR LESS”: The Quality Assurance Strategies in the USA Higher Education (On the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Data)

Larysa Mytsyk’s interests are in the areas of quality assurance, faculty development, and international relations. She studied the American system of quality assurance in higher education, focusing on such key issues as policies and procedures for quality assurance, approval, monitoring and periodic review of programs and standards, assessment of students, quality assurance of teaching staff, learning resources and student support, information systems, and public information. Upon return to her home university, she plans to initiate a collaborative project entitled “The Development of a Quality Assurance System within Selected Universities in Ukraine”. The priority objective of the project be to promote transatlantic interuniversity cooperation to improve the quality of higher education and the effective management of educational processes at the university level in Ukraine.
