Topic: Strategic Planning
This project will create a University Analysis and Planning Support Office within the existing Center for University Management Studies of Nizhni Novgorod State University. This office will provide the necessary preconditions for the effective organization of strategic planning, the coordination of all university structural divisions towards this effort, and to set forth the conditions for developing and adopting the University strategic plan. This project aims to develop the necessary organizational, methodological, and analytical structure for the University’s strategic planning process.

Topic: Information Systems and Quality Assurance
The primary goal of this project is to improve the quality of the educational process at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Specifically, this project seeks to develop a system of measurable quality indicators, indicators of customer satisfaction, and to create a dynamic evaluation model to measure quality of education. This reform will introduce a documented procedure of selection for alumni requests. The university will become more customer service oriented, its image improved, more profit will be generated by the University, and the knowledge and competences gained at the University will become more applicable.

Topic: Information Systems and Quality Assurance
The goal of this project is to create an information system for academic management at the Computer Science department of Tomsk State University. The aim of this project is to develop an aggregated database that integrates all data about students, professors, and curricula. The process of data integration into one system is of great importance as all departments are currently operating on separate systems. Another goal of the project is to make the collected data transparent to students and staff via the Internet and to also make transparent the university’s decision-making processes.

The principle goal of this project is to create a new administrative system to commercialize research and technology results of the university. The project’s results will aid in the transition from simply scientific solutions to the creation and commercialization of technologies. This will create additional financial sources such as cooperation with the local regional industry and with other regions in Russia. Scientific researchers will be trained to be more business minded in the science and technology field. Through this reform, possible international relations may be developed to implement joint innovation projects.

This project will create a Technology Transfer Office at Perm State University. This reform will result in new conditions for the technology transfer process and for research development. Enhanced research activity, trainings of administrative and academic staff in the defense of intellectual property, and the commercialization of research results and technology transfer will occur. Other goals which will be realized through this project are the marketing of university commercial projects, the patenting of projects, and obtaining of financial support for prospective commercialized research.

Topic: Human Resource Management and Information Systems
This project will create a Departmental Teaching and Learning IT Service which will be a new unit within the administrative structure of the Research and Education Center of Mechanics and Mathematics at Rostov State University. IT support will be provided for learning and teaching activities for both students and department faculty. A few of the learning and teaching activities which will be supported include Internet video conferences, educational Web Sites, and electronic tutorials. This reform will allow for the management of modern educational IT equipment and will provide faculty with technical support. In addition, the departmental recruitment plan will be activated, and retention training for junior IT employees and technical support staff will occur.

Topic: Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning
The goal of this pilot project is to create a system of strategic and quality management at Rostov State University’s Department of Law. The main goal is to eventually disseminate the system to other departments and the university as a whole. New methods and techniques in strategic and quality management will be applied through this reform. Documents and procedures will be developed to audit and control training aspects such as rating and self-evaluation procedures. A Web Site will also be designed which will contain information on quality assurance and management. The system of quality management will be regulated and quality assurance held annually.

This project will create a Technology Transfer Office at Voronezh State University. The current research management system at the university will be reformed to create an efficient system of administration and to support innovation activities. The principle concept of innovation activities will be developed considering current social and economic conditions in Russia. Adequate criteria of assessment, monitoring, and selection of innovation projects presenting commercial value will materialize through this reform.

The goal of this project is to create an Educational Center for Students with Disablilities at the Moscow University for Humanities. The center will support students with disabilities to develop as individuals, become economically independent, and to successfully integrate into society. It also ensures that these students have full and fair access to higher education. Professors and university subdivisions will be trained on the methodological and psychological support necessary for the successful integration of students with disabilities. Seminars and trainings will be conducted for professors of universities throughout Russia.

This project will improve the services of the International Relations office at Novgorod State University. Services offered by the office will be broadened to involve more staff, faculty, and students. Both increases in the amounts of foreign students studying at the university and Russian students studying abroad are goals of the project. An advising center will be created for faculty, staff, and students preparing to work or study in other countries. Workshops will be organized for the staff with topics as grant writing and international relations, and consulting services used to help organize training for the project’s administrators. More information will be added to the office’s Web Site making it easier to access and more attractive to users. Advertising materials in several different languages will be created, edited, and published for international students and partners.
