Quotes from US Teachers

“Some of the English teachers from my host school in Bangladesh and I have exchanged ideas and kept in touch via email.  It was such a marvelous experience; I can hardly believe that it’s almost been a year since I was there working alongside them and enjoying every moment to its fullest!!  I also continue to communicate with Vira from Ukraine.... The professional development and the personal friendships that have been gained through this program is incredibly marvelous!  Thank you again for the opportunity to have been a participant in making a difference in the world.”
–Cindy Sharpless, Robertsdale, AL

“Since I came back from Azerbaijan, I've been in close contact with my partner teacher, Farida Huseynova, as well as many of the other Azeri teachers I met while in Azerbaijan.  One exciting thing that happened since I came back is that I invited Farida to come visit my school here in Orlando, Florida and she came in September 2008!!  She spoke to my AP Human Geography students, observed high school ESOL classes and elementary school classes, spoke to school and district administrators and of course visited Disney World.  She stayed at my house so we reconnected again after my TEA visit to Baku.”
–Nicolle Boujaber-Diederichs, Orlando, FL
