Information Technology.

Well over 200 attending students and teachers of Kulyab State University (KSU) and thousands more TV viewers learned how the Internet is improving the prospects for the Development of Tajikistan during a conference in the KSU conference hall. Khursand Saidovich, a rector of KSU took part at conference and noted, “The 21st century is a century of sciences and advanced stage of development can not be perceived without information technology (IT). The role of the IATP access site in the expansion of knowledge among society in general and especially that of teachers and students is tangible”.

Mahmadullo Oripovich, pro-rector of KSU supporting rector’s speech continued the presentation by citing an example, “One of my sons is a student of Dushanbe Technological University, who became ill for a while and could not attend lessons. Due to the service of the IATP access site, he managed to prepare the required materials in due course.” Further, the students began to ask questions to guest speakers about the history of Internet and about how it was created. These questions were responded by Naimjon Mirsaidov, a chairman of KSU students’ union, who is one of the frequent users of IATP access site. Mirsaidiov made his speech by submitting reports and showing slides to audience which he previously prepared at access site.

After Mirsaidov’s statement Nuriya Hamidova, an administrator of Kulyab IATP site delivered a presentation about the main contribution of IATP in developing of Internet in Kulyab and mentioned that, “The amount of users rises day by day and IATP will extend its service. In addition, we are going to conduct educational and scientific arrangements”. A local Kulyab TV channel that has 100,000 audiences broadcasted this event in evening news for 90 seconds. By this arrangement the IATP access site became more popular among the citizens of Kulyab city.
