Program Overview
The US-Russia Experts Forum equips high level experts from both nations with the necessary tools for collaborating on policy briefs at US think tanks, governmental agencies, and research centers, ultimately culminating in the development of policy recommendations and conclusions, and the establishment of long-standing bilateral partnerships.
KEY OBJECTIVES

Foster dialogue between US and Russian experts on policy issues affecting the relationship between the two nations

Develop a public policy community of US and Russian experts who share common goals and experiences

Develop the Russian capacity to inject ideas into policy making processes, and into public dialogue on policy issues

Enable Russian institutions to transform research findings into usable policy recommendations
2008 US–Russia Experts Forum on Transnational Crime
Participation in the Forum provides Russian and American experts with the means to conduct intensive dialogue and collaborative research on one unifying policy theme utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach. The 2008 Forum will focus on the topic of transnational crime. Research subtopics may include: cyber crime; law enforcement cooperation; nuclear material security; organized crime; terrorism; and trafficking of drugs and human beings.
