Kidsave International
Since 1999, Kidsave International has self-funded programs throughout
Russia to strengthen the capacity of the child welfare sector to provide
the necessary care, protection, and support for orphans through family
visit methodologies, policy reforms, and social marketing.
Firefly Children's Network
Founded in 2000 by Russian-adopting parents who could not erase from memory
those left behind, Firefly Children's Network (FCN) is a US-based 501(c)(3)
organization focusing exclusively on the plight of children with disabilities
in Russia. With a comprehensive program focusing on abandonment prevention
and deinstitutionalization of children with disabilities already underway
in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, FCN is committed to seeking systemic
change by promoting authentic, community-based Russian solutions.
