The Director of the Survey Research Center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Amonashvili's U.S. host institution on the UGRAD program, will conduct a workshop on survey methods at Tbilisi State University.

Ayupov will create a Tatar language textbook for English speakers which will be published in spring 2008.

Bialova will develop and print 500 booklets with international marketing and e-marketing best practices from Kyrgyz companies.

Giorgadze will conduct a summer program for orphans to teach them computer skills, including lessons in computing, English language, and geography.

Grigoryan will organize a group of volunteers to teach English to young people from five communities in the Lori region for six months.

Members of the Young Explorer youth club will participate in Model UN activities and a conference, in conjunction with Model United Nations of the Russian Far East. The project will produce a handbook about leadership, examples of successful projects, sample proposals, and donor information.

Jibalidze project will support Georgian schools in developing basic concepts of teaching and learning to meet national standards of accreditation, particularly rural and non-Georgian language schools.

Jitnic’s project wil focus on training personnel in the private and public sectors to conduct internal audits in compliance with new legislation and International Standards of Auditing.

Kurylo will develop an educational campaign to increase awareness about eating disorders in the Lviv community through workshops and brochures, with an emphasis on early detection.

Mukhtarova and fellow alumni at Ganja State University will train fellow students in leadership, professional development, and community service.
Ivan Pechorin

UGRAD 02
Pechorin will conduct a training of trainers (TOT) on human trafficking and domestic violence in conjunction with ABA and ELSA offices in the Russian Far East. The TOT will target lawyers, practitioners, and experts in the rule of law field, who will then conduct trainings in schools and universities.

The goal of Rahmonova’s project will be to refurbish the library at the school for the blind in Dushanbe.
