Global community leaders participating in the Community Solutions Program bring years of experience to bear on community development in the U.S., while learning techniques to improve their development efforts in their home countries. Each leader is matched with a U.S. non-profit organization or government office based on their experience and professional goals. Through these tailored fellowships, leaders gain hands-on experience in community development, participate in intensive leadership skills training, and create action plans for community-based initiatives back home.
Community Solutions Leaders focus on one of the following four areas: Tolerance and Conflict Resolution , Environmental Issues , Transparency and Accountability , and Women's Issues .

Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services
Samuel Ebeid is the Head of Specific Forum Programs for the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services Forum for Intercultural Dialogue, where he works on creating safe and suitable environments that encourage forum participants to dialogue on common issues and interests and organizes activities that aim to build potential leaders’ capacities regarding peace-building and conflict resolution. Following the Community Solutions Program, he plans to implement an e-learning dialogue program targeting youth leaders and aims to promote the culture of dialogue in his community.

Rodrigo Ponce
Peru
Eco Aldeas Peru
Rodrigo Ponce is the founder of Eco Aldeas Peru, a community based ecotourism and agro-tourism value chain development in the Peruvian Upper Amazon. As a social entrepreneur he implements educational travel projects connected to permaculture, traditional agriculture, community development, environmental protection and rural education. Following the Community Solutions Program, he plans to build a demonstrative sustainable water management permaculture system with the participation of local grassroots organizations involved in this community based tourism project.

Poverty and Corruption in Africa Project
As a Project Coordinator for the Poverty and Corruption in Africa Project at the Center for Transparency and Accountability, Zeowheh Saywrayne works with target communities by building capacity in advocacy and monitoring and evaluation, and working closely with service providers to ensure that services and projects impact communities. Upon her return from the Community Solutions Program, she intends to organize a program that gives voice to women and allows them to identify their own challenges and solutions.

Remmie Nambalirwa
Uganda
Women of Valor Foundation
Remmie Nambalirwa is the founder of the Women of Valor Foundation, which works to help empower women and the youth economically through mentorship, executive coaching and entrepreneurial motivational talks. Upon return from the Community Solutions Program, Nambalirwa plans to expand the Women of Valor Foundation’s women empowerment project into the rural areas of Uganda. She also plans to officially launch the Women of Valor television program, which will act as a media mentoring tool for the region.
