The priorities for the higher education system in Armenia are: the equitable access to higher education for all the groups of the society and overall increase of enrollment, increase of funding and modernization of financing mechanisms, and the introduction of the internal systems for the quality assurance and accreditation of higher institutions. The main purpose of this case-study is to allow the Ministry of Education of Armenia to become familiar with main principles in the field of management and governance of U.S. higher education, especially in the priority areas listed above, which will foster the implementation of the reforms in the sphere of higher education in Armenia.
