Mamun has played an active role as a teacher trainer in the newly adopted assessment system named SBA (School Based Assessment), which is part of a government project. He received both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in English from Rajshahi University in 1990 and 1991 respectively and also a Bachelor of Education in 2002 from National University. Mamun is single and his hobbies include traveling and reading. Liberato is a volunteer member and 2nd secretary of the city's cultural forum, a civil organization in charge of cataloguing and organizing local cultural initiatives in order to participate in a nationwide program that sponsors and funds local artists. He previously worked as a Portuguese/ Spanish/English translator and interpreter in the organization of the state environmental film festival, FICA. He holds a Bachelor’s in Languages (Portuguese & English), a Bachelor’s in Journalism, and a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy. He is currently working on his Master’s in Applied Linguistics, researching EFL materials development for Portuguese-speaking computer students. Liberato is single and lives with a fellow teacher who also works at IFG. His hobbies include going to the movies and theater, swimming and playing volleyball. He is in charge of the Science Subject Committee, Biology Department, Basundhara Eco Club, Ronald Ross Memorial Health Club, Vidyalaya Guidance & Counseling Cell, and the National Adolescence Education Programme. As Principal Investigator, he successfully implemented National Environmental Awareness Campaign & National Green Crops activities among the students of the Vidyalaya. Dr. Majumdar obtained his undergraduate, postgraduate & Ph.D. degrees from the prestigious University of Calcutta and is presently supervising one Ph.D. thesis at Vidyasagar University. He is active in community works by serving as resource person and participant in trainings and conferences in the areas of social studies and professional education. He is also a trainer and coach of winners in various outstanding student competitions in both local and national levels. As a teacher in a leading science high school, Papasin has served as a resource speaker and facilitator of teacher-training workshops in her field. She finished a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the Ateneo de Davao University in 1985 and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2005. Married with three children, she finds leisure in quiet activities like reading and is keen on homemaking skills like sewing and cooking. Papasin joined ILEP to improve her teaching methods to be more interactive and engaging.

She is an active member of the core of trainers in Bicol Region where she has developed science learning materials for science teachers and students especially during the National Implementation of SBTP and BEC curriculum. Shella obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Physics and Medical Physics from the Philippine Normal University and De La Salle University respectively. She was also awarded two national scholarship grants from DOST and EepEd. She is married with one daughter and her hobbies include needlework and playing banduria, a musical instrument similar to the guitar. Her primary objective for participating in ILEP is to gain new insights on how to improve science teaching practices for meaningful learning.

His objective for participating in ILEP is to equip himself with new teaching techniques and, once back home, to share these techniques with colleagues so that students can benefit from them.

Albert has been the pedagogic counselor of the Department of Oussouye and has devoted his time giving advice, supervising newly hired teachers, and coordinating the activities of the departmental English Cell. He also broadcasts informative programs on the community radio station. He received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Cheikh Anta DlOP University in 1995 and a certificate in teaching methodologies from ENS (Teachers' Training School) in Dakar. Albert is married with two young daughters and his hobbies include reading and dancing. His primary objectives for participating in lLEP are to explore new methodologies for engaging students in a more participatory and active classroom setting and to feel at ease using the computer and internet in his class sessions. Another objective is to share his experience with teachers of all levels in his local community and elsewhere in Senegal.

He also receives trainees from FASTEF (formerly ENS). He enjoys actively participating in cultural festivities at school and is married with two sons.

He is an active member of the Association of Teachers of English in Senegal, the advisor of his school’s English Club, and, since 2004, the Pedagogic Advisor for English in Mbacke, working regularly with about 35 teachers. They deal with issues related to ELT, and this job has helped him to become a better teacher. Mohamadou obtained a Master’s Degree in 1997 and a certification for teaching English in 2002. He is married with three lovely children: 2 boys and 1 girl.

Pamela Hugo is a provincial coordinator of mathematics for grades 10 to 12 and her students are between 15 and 17 years old. Pamela coordinates activities for teacher development, support, training, and monitoring of the secondary school syllabus/subject content. She also organizes workshops and meetings for reports to the department of education about the performance and development of mathematics. Pamela has been a member of teams for writing on subject policies and documents for the South African Education Department and for training subject advisors and teachers around the country. She has played a big role in mathematics learners' intake and performance improvement. She teaches mathematics to high school students in underperforming schools as a strategy for performance improvement in the subject. In addition, she plays a key role in the Free State Province in motivating and encouraging participation in Mathematics and Science Olympiads and Expos. Pamela's participation in ILEP will benefit not only herself, but the Province as a whole. Through her involvement in the South African education department, she will also be able to share her experience with parts of South Africa outside of her native town.

Maureen is an active member of the science community and has been a member of South African Science and Technology Association since 2003 and was a treasurer of the organization for the past two years. She is single with one daughter and her hobbies are reading and watching soccer. ILEP will help Maureen to promote teaching and learning in South Africa.

He is the head of mathematics and science department at the school, the mentor teacher for Educators’ Science Programmes, the coordinator for learner assessment at the school, and the coordinator for ICT and digital content at the school. Teboho is a qualified mathematics, physics, and chemistry educator who has won several awards for good results in his classes. He lives with his extended family in his home village and enjoys nature, sightseeing, music, and soccer. Teboho would like to develop his skills in the teaching of the sciences through the ILEP program.

His hobbies include jogging and playing soccer. His primary objective for participating in ILEP is to explore new methodologies for engaging students in a more participatory and active classroom setting.
