Ulugbek Nurumbetov is the Director of the Youth Theater for Peace Program implemented by IREX in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and financed by USAID.
Ulugbek Nurumbetov is the Director of the Youth Theater for Peace [7] Program in Kyrgyzstan.
The program introduces new theater activities aimed at conflict prevention for youth in Batken and Chui regions. Ulugbek is responsible for the development of strategy and oversight of all aspects of program management and implementation.
With more than nine years of experience working closely with youth on conflict prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles, Ulugbek is a highly-qualified manager, leader, and trainer. As Country Coordinator for Abt Associates Inc., he managed the Kyrgyz component of a $2.5 million USAID-funded Central Asia Sports and Health Education Program focused on youth, health promotion, conflict prevention, and community involvement in cross-border areas of Ferghana Valley and southern Kazakhstan. He has conducted situation analysis and data collection on potential conflicts and other risks to youth development such as crime, religious extremism, drug abuse, and health related issues.
Ulugbek holds a masters degree in Public Relations from Academy of Management under the President of Kyrgyz Republic, a Specialist Degree in International Relations and BA in Political Science from Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
Ulugbek is a former national amateur champion boxer, and He does not smoke or drink alcohol.
