Ralitsa Popova is the Executive Director of the Knowledge Association, a Bulgarian NGO that implements projects in the fields of citizen participation, youth, social inclusion and adult education. Popova has also served as a trainer for the Youth In Action program, as well as a moderator for the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation’s public forum. Popova plans to focus her efforts on increasing the participation of rural community members in the local political process.

While in the U.S., Ralitsa worked at The League of Women Voters of California [8] in Sacramento developing outreach strategies, contributing to the implementation of the Voter Service Communication Plan, and was part of state-wide voter education activities.
