Laura's Bio
Laura has been with IREX since September 2012 and currently oversees the operations of Novateca [9], the Global Library program in Moldova [10]. Laura is also in charge of the Latin America initiative of the Beyond Access [11] program.
Prior to her position at IREX, Laura consulted for the World Bank's Public Sector for Latin America department and researched education policy. She worked for four years managing more than 15 social development projects financed by companies such as Coca-Cola, Petrobras and The Walt Disney Company as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy in Argentina and Latin America. As a consultant for the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Laura was in charge of promoting sustainable business practices among small companies at the policy level and coordinated the multi-sectorial group that developed the first self-assessment questionnaire on CSR for SMEs.
Laura holds a BA in Political Sciences from the Universidad Catolica Argentina and a Master of Public Administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian.
Laura enjoys every moment of exploring and taking pictures in new cities but her favorite place on earth is still the garden at her parents' house in Buenos Aires.
