At the Civil Society Development Foundation (FDSC), Diana Berceanu helps to increase the capacity of NGOs in Romania, addressing issues related to organizational transparency and accountability. She also advocates to increase the public’s knowledge of and interest in volunteering. She hopes to establish stronger linkages between civil society and government and find new ways of building citizen confidence in NGOs.
While in the U.S., Diana worked for United Way Worldwide [6] in Alexandria, Virginia, supporting the organization’s public policy and lobbying efforts.
Upon her return to Romania, Diana has focused on her follow-on project which aims to develop and deliver a training module on nonprofit lobbying and advocating to small and medium sized nonprofits in Romania. The training includes two full days of training sessions with 20 members of nonprofit organizations participating.
