Angela Nicoara Bio
Angela Nicoara serves as Chief of Party for the Azerbaijan New Media Project (ANMP) [5].
The project builds upon the foundation established by IREX in the last phase of USAID's Media Advancement Program for Azerbaijan by expanding professional and citizen journalists' coverage of critical content; developing information-based ties among communities, NGOs and Azerbaijani citizens; and growing a constituency of media-literate citizens supportive of free speech rights in new and traditional media.
Angela has more than 15 years of experience in journalism and international program administration. She previously served as a chief of party in Serbia, Sudan, Rwanda and Sri Lanka. Angela worked as a freelance reporter and media trainer in Romania, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Kingdom and the United States. Angela has a master's degree in coexistence and conflict from Brandeis University.
Angela enjoys listening to African music and has completed two triathlons.
