Aimee's bio
Aimee oversees the undergraduate exchange programs, including the Global Undergraduate Exchange Programs in Eurasia & Central Asia and Pakistan. She also provides support to the BOTA Foundation’s Tuition Assistance Program in Kazakhstan.
Since rejoining IREX in 2002, Aimee has worked with nearly 1,500 undergraduate students internationally, connecting them with local communities and institutions of higher education throughout the United States.
Aimee’s previous experience with IREX included working as Director of the U.S. Education Information Center in Moscow, Russia. She also worked as a Facilitator for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Special American Business Internship Training Program (SABIT).
She received an MA in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University and a BA in International and Area Studies from Kalamazoo College. She also experienced life as an undergraduate exchange student firsthand while studying in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Aimee has tried out for both Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, but has yet to win a spot on America’s favorite game shows. She hopes to step into the Cash Cab next time she is in New York City.
