In honor of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development [7], IREX is pleased to share this video interview with two students from Pakistan.
During the Spring 2012 semester, Uzair and Komal studied at American University in Washington, DC as part of the Global UGRAD-Pakistan program. Uzair and Komal took classes on campus in business administration and American studies, and integrated with their host community through cultural activities, community service, and giving presentations about Pakistan [8].
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan (Global UGRAD-Pakistan) [9] provides fellowships for one semester of full-time, non-degree undergraduate study in the United States to a diverse group of emerging student leaders from underrepresented sectors in Pakistan. Alumni of the Global UGRAD-Pakistan program go home to become active members of their home communities through sharing their US experiences and implementing service activities.
Global UGRAD-Pakistan is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State [10].
