With increasing awareness that LGBT rights are human rights, donors—both public and private—have strengthened their support for LGBT-focused initiatives around the world. But as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations are particularly vulnerable, missteps by international development players can be costly, resulting in violent backlash against LGBT individuals or those perceived to be LGBT. In honor of Pride Month, IREX is hosting this conversation with international LGBT activists to share their perspectives and experiences with the larger international development community.
