IREX is seeking qualified experts to interview and evaluate applicants for the 2012-2013 Community Solutions Program. Ideal candidates will have country-specific experience in one of the 50 eligible countries, experience working on community development initiatives, and/or working knowledge in one of the program’s four thematic areas (women’s issues, transparency and accountability, environmental issues and/or tolerance/conflict resolution).
The Community Solutions Program is a professional development program for the best and brightest community leaders working in transparency & accountability, tolerance/conflict resolution, environmental issues, and women’s issues. Selected candidates will participate in: a four month U.S. fellowship with a non-profit organization or government office; up to 500 hours of practical leadership and organizational management training, online and in-person; and, the design and implementation of community development projects in their home communities.
Selected interviewers will receive an honorarium and will be asked to conduct interviews over the telephone or via Skype, and recommend finalists according to set criteria. The interview process will begin in early January and lasting until the middle of February.
