University administrators from Russia and Armenia met with U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha J. Kanter [3]. Dr. Kanter shared her expertise on higher education in the United States, as well as her insights on implementing innovation and administrative reform in a higher education environment. White House Cabinet Secretary Chris Lu [4], also at the Department of Education that day, joined the meeting.
The University Administration Support Program [5] (UASP), funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York [6], builds sustainable higher education management capacity in institutions of higher education in Eurasia and Africa.
