143 young leaders from Eurasia and Central Asia arrived to begin academic and cultural fellowships at undergraduate institutions across the United States. Selected from among a large pool of applicants, Global UGRAD [19] fellows spend an academic year studying at American universities and colleges, participating in cultural activities, as well as conducting community service and engaging in professional interships.
Following the program, the fellows return to their home countries to finish their studies, share the perspectives they gained while in the United States, and contribute to the development of their communities.
