CSP Leader - Jordan
At the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), Wala’a Akrabawi provides technical assistance to programs that seek to increase the economic opportunities of under-privileged Jordanians, particularly women.
While in the U.S., Wala'a worked for the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore assisting the organization in monitoring and evaluating the effects of its employment and entrepreneurial trainings.
Upon returning to Jordan, Wala'a implemented her follow-on project whereby she collected best practices in and success stories of youth development programs worldwide in order to inform JRF's five-year strategy. After completion of the document, Wala’a presented the major outcomes to the organization’s senior leadership. She is working to incorporate these major outcomes into the JRF’s youth programs to strengthen their projects and attain better results.
