Tom Kelly
Tom Kelly supports the implementation of the Community Solutions Program, a US Department of State funded global leadership program for young civic leaders currently working to address the economic, environmental, political, and social challenges confronting their respective communities. As Program Officer, Tom supports the development of the program’s online learning platform and Leadership Institute, program recruitment and selection, communication and outreach efforts, as well as program monitoring and evaluation.
Tom has previous experience working with Long Island University’s Global College, Mercy Corps and the Institute of International Education where he supported a number of international education initiatives, including campus internationalization efforts, global curriculum development and study abroad. Tom also has three years of experience in the classroom, teaching special education in the US and Jordan, and English Language in Egypt.
Tom holds an M.A. in International Education from New York University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Widener University. He is proficient in Modern Standard Arabic.
