Thomas Barlue
As Program Officer at the African Child Peace Initiative, Thomas Barlue coordinates and evaluates peacebuilding programs for youth in Liberia.
While in the U.S., Thomas worked at Peace First’s New York office where he supported peace building training sessions, participated in the organization’s monitoring and evaluation activities, and conducted extensive research on nonprofit partnerships.
After returning to Liberia, Thomas has been working on The Community Peace Networking project which focuses on assessing, initiating and building the capacities of community peacebuilding structures to empower youth to become effective drivers for societal change. Thus far, his project is supported by two schools in two communities and has directly reached 100 students with the aim of creating an "Inspired4Peace" gathering to bring together the two communities and share best practices for peacebuilding.
