Randal Mason

As the Director of Strategic Development at IREX, Randal coordinates new business outreach to individual donors, foundations, and corporations. He is also Chair of IREX’s Gender Community of Practice. Before rejoining IREX in July 2010, Randal was an independent consultant for four years, providing training, facilitation, and new business support to domestic and international nonprofits. During that time, he developed and delivered trainings in such areas as grant writing, community mobilization, and strategic planning.

From 2003-2006, Randal was Director of IREX’s Civil Society Division, where he oversaw an annual program portfolio of $13 million across 14 countries. His responsibilities included design and oversight of IREX’s NGO strengthening, technology, anti-trafficking, and women’s empowerment programs. From 1998-2003, he headed the Development Division, leading IREX’s government and private fundraising initiatives and helping the organization’s annual revenue grow from $21 million to $45 million.
