Prossy Kawala
Prossy Kawala currently works as the Project Assistant of Media Development at the Uganda Media Development Foundation, a non-governmental organization that aims to enhance the capacity of media practitioners, where she works with over 50 radio stations in developing peace and conflict sensitive reporting and programming to uplift the profile of Ugandan media in the democratization process. Prossy plans to focus her work on building a democracy and peace group comprised of media, civil society, and political actors at the local level.
While in the U.S., Prossy worked at Media Literacy Project (MLP) developing strategies to popularize MLP’s campaign against hate speech in the Media and learned of the process through which to get a petition or resolution through the legislative council.
