Mutsa Mukome
CSP Leader - Zimbabwe
As Program Officer at Christian Care, Mutsa Mukome works with individuals affected by political violence in Zimbabwe and helps facilitate a number of psychosocial support and income-generating programs for these individuals.
While in the U.S., Mutsa worked for OneAmerica advocating for immigrant populations and raising awareness among communities about the issues that affect them.
After returning to Zimbabwe, Mutsa began implementing her follow-on project which sought to create awareness about Zimbabwe immigration laws and reforms with an emphasis on IDPs, refugees and other stateless persons, and to increase integration and tolerance of these communities. Mutsa has consulted with professors of African studies and lawyers about stateless persons and plans to use the internet to create a site where these individuals can share their views.
