At the Academy for International Development in Egypt, Mostafa Hussein works to increase the community’s economic wellbeing while increasing energy efficiency.
While in the U.S., Mostafa worked at the Institute for Market Transformation where he played an integral role in the research conducted by IMT regarding energy efficiency and influencing policy makers to pass environmental legislation.
After returning to Egypt, Mostafa's follow-on project has led to the building of one bio gas unit and has trained 130 youth on the renewable technology through four public presentations held in partnership with CARE International’s Support to Agriculture Networks in Egypt project, the International Model European Union at the University of Cairo, the Climate Ambassadors program in cooperation with WESC NGO, and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) program at the German University in Cairo.
