Harriet Bibangambah
Harriet Bibangambah is a Research Officer at Greenwatch in Uganda, where she facilitates trainings and liaises with the government on creating a legal framework for natural resource extraction.
During the CSP fellowship, Harriet worked with Earthworks' Oil and Gas Accountability Project (OGAP) in Durango, Colorado where she conducted research related to oil and gas company accountability and the role civil society organizations play in advocating for reform within the extractive industries.
Upon her return to Uganda, Harriet's follow-on project aimed to increase transparency of the oil and gas sector through research, community outreach and advocacy initiatives. Harriet has conducted several trainings on how communities can better advocate for safer oil and gas practices. As of mid-2012, 50 community members were trained with additional trainings planned.
