Hadija Nankanja

As a Consultant for the Women of Kireka in Uganda, Hadijah Nankanja works on income-generating programs for women who are traditionally marginalized from the local economy.

While in the U.S., Hadijah worked with the Kansas Women’s Business Center in Kansas City to build the business and entrepreneurial skills of marginalized women and facilitate their access to micro-loans.

Upon returning to Uganda, Hadijah implemented her follow-on project which focused on building the business skills of women entrepreneurs in Kireka. She established the Community Women’s Enterprise Network, which is now officially registered in Uganda. She plans to continue to offer entrepreneurial skill-building activities, mentoring to women business owners, and networking and other promotional events for its members.
