Chantsaldulam Jigjiddorj
Chantsaldulam Jigjiddorj is Project Manager at Women for Social Progress, where she connects citizens and their political representatives at national and local levels via public awareness campaigns, open forums, and a public parliamentary library.
While in the U.S., Chantsaldulam worked at the Alaska Center for Public Policy in Anchorage, assisting the organization in its fundraising efforts and researching best practices in engaging citizens at the local government level.
After returning to Mongolia, Chantsaldulam implemented her follow-on project which aimed to increase the capacity of local civil society organizations to more effectively implement and facilitate Citizen Hall meetings, an initiative that has been sponsored and supported by the Mongolian President in previous years. With the end outcome to increase citizen participation in local government, the project worked closely with local CSOs on creating transparent community forums, mobilizing community members, advocating for public forum support and creating public-private partnerships.Through the project, 125 citizens were trained in how to more effectively engage in the local government decision-making process.
