Regional Library-Information Center Opens in Qabala Province

The US International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) together with the Public Relations Department of the USA Embassy in Azerbaijan have opened a Regional Library-Information Center in Qabala province, Azerbaijan on August 4.

The center has access to Internet and is equipped with computer and other technical facilities.

In regions IREX is implementing its Regional Libraries Development Program, aimed at interesting of people in going to libraries, thereby widening of their range of interests and developing of their activity in public life, together with the Ministry of Culture, Regional Cultural Department and local authorities.

Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbul oglu, Ambassador of the USA to Baku Reno Harnish, representatives of International organizations and educational workers attended the event.
